The next step is to look through your photographs (either posted or e-mailed) and make a decision about the final details of the portrait that will be created from the photographs sent. I will then start drawing and send progress images in certain stages so as you can view and give the nod for each stage when completed.

VERIFICATION: When the portrait is completed, I will forward a digital proof of the final painting to you via e-mail. I will then request you pay the full amount via paypal or cheque if you do not have a paypal account.

SIZES: Portraits may be any dimension you prefer, although I do tend to specialize in oils on canvas, a reliable and ever lasting medium.

PHOTOGRAPHS: All of your photographs will be returned safely. Please note

the detail of the final portrait is directly related to the quality and sharpness of the photographs you send to us. More photos are an advantage as they can be used for reference for colouring, close-up details, and capturing the subjects personality.

Please note: if your photos were taken professionally, you will need to ask the photographer for copyright permission. I can arrange to meet and take the photographs myself but there will be a small charge for this extra service.

TURNAROUND: Turnaround time depends on the amount of portraits I am working on, but the waiting list can sometimes be in the range of 1-2 weeks, and begin accepting Christmas orders 2 months in advance. If you do have a certain date for example, such as a birthday, please let me know and if I will if possible endeavour to create the portrait to you in time.

A NOTE ON COPYRIGHT: Although I retain full reproduction copyright on each portrait, due to the personal nature of a commission piece I will not use an image for cards or art prints without the permission and agreement of my client.

Prices may vary slightly according to the specifics of each painting, but the majority of portraits fall under similar rates.
